the art of
TODD YEAGER

To celebrate the new book release by Todd Yeager, called "Rascals." Harvey Redding invites you to the new show by and with Todd Yeager. Harvey describes Todd's style as follows:

"Skinhead street trade, Bronx bad boys and sexual pranksters of all kinds populate this erotic Neverland. Rascals is a journey into the youthful mischievous fetishes and romantic liaisons of urban queer men.
The raw, marginal sex scenes deftly drawn with crisp cross-hatched pen work are an unlikely, but appealing mix of flea market erotic snapshots and seventeenth century Dutch master etchings."

Rascals. the Sexual Fantasies of
Todd Yeager

Todd Yeager’s art is strong stuff. His drawings take us on a bracing and thrilling journey to the dark depths of manly desire and sexual abandon! Unsoiled, clean-shaven youth is not in Yeager’s vocabulary. Instead, his artistry leads us in search of unadulterated masculinity. The unexpected intensity of these monochrome drawings sends a shiver down the spine of the observer and reveals the promising potential of this one-of-a-kind artist.

Yeager’s 96-page strong hardcover book of photography is a sexually charged work that’s more a study of the masculine body than just plain eroticism. Yeager’s preferred subjects are young, slim New Yorkers that he presents alone in solo portraits or going after one another in hot group scenes.

The now 42-year-old New Yorker Todd Yeager sold his first portrait at the age of twelve. Since the mid-80s he’s been causing sensations with a variety of exhibitions. Member of the Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation, most recently his drawings were included in the DIRTY LITTLE DRAWINGS collection, published by Bruno Gmünder in 2007.

    Tom Bouden
    Queerville

Very libertine contents in a “Tintin” style as sweet as can be – that’s Tom Bouden’s speciality. Last year the artist celebrated a huge hit with DAVID & JONATHAN – now comes the unofficial sequel to the Belgian happy-go-lucky tales with new ones from QUEERVILLE. Bouden’s stories are intelligent, sexy and as always close to real life! Bouden’s QUEERVILLE is solely populated by winsome young men. His short stories are situations you’ll recognise from real life, sexy comicstrips from men’s wet dreams. The topics run the gamut from cock size, darkroom fantasies and naturally love – all spiced with a good pinch of humour and a wonderfully unpretentious aplomb. Bouden’s stories will bring a grin to every gay man’s face and make a perfect gift – but naturally not for kids!

Tom was born in Ostende, Belgium, a country famous for it’s comics and by the age of nine knew he wanted to draw them. After his successful debut, his newest work is even more revealing. Tom has been in the business for over fifteen years but he doesn't allow himself to be pigeonholed into a particular genre. He is also working on a play, has written numerous television scripts and even the Walt Disney Company has come knocking on the door of this sought-after and award-winning artist. Following the success of DAVID & JONATHAN, QUEERVILLE is Bouden’s second publication with Bruno Gmünder Publishing.

    FANCY
an online comic by Dale Lazarov & Delic Van Loond

FANCY is a series of man-on-man erotic fantasy comics - barbarians, princes, wizards and woodsmen who find love and lust in sensual, enchanted landscapes. The first story currently being serialized from FANCY is "Hospitality", a tale of a wandering barbarian swordsman who finds shelter, comfort, tenderness and hot, hard sex in the arms of a burly village blacksmith.

Dale Lazarov is best known as the writer/editor of STICKY, a collaboration with illustrator Steve MacIsaac that was first published by Eros Comix/Fantagraphics and collected in hardcover by Bruno Gmuender Verlag. Best-selling author Clive Barker described STICKY as "Sexy, stylish, minimalist... an intense mixture of erotic realism and the freedom of comics storytelling makes STICKY a pleasure to have in one hand."

With accomplished European erotic artist Delic Van Loond, Dale now brings STICKY's brand of carnality and sweetness to sexy fantasy characters and settings. "Everyone's invited to read FANCY as hypermasculine heroic adventure fantasy types have long been protagonists in the erotic imagination. That said, Delic and Dale go through great pains to make sure the protagonists of these stories relate to each other on a human level in order to enhance the experience of sensuality and romance inherent in hard man-on-man sex. Another inclusive aspect of FANCY is the intentional lack of captions or dialogue; anyone who enjoys erotic illustration can immerse themselves in Delic's clear, compelling, gorgeous erotic comics storytelling and fantasize their own dialogue."

Delic Van Loond adds "It's great to work with Dale on this series; his writing brings a real humanity to the characters despite their fantastical settings. He creates a back-story for each protaganist and it's been a fun challenge to show that to readers in a dialogue-free story. I also think it adds to the sensuality when there's empathy with the characters. Combine this with swords, leather, magic and muscles and you have an olde worlde feast of hotness!"

Lazarov & Van Loond's FANCY updates every Saturday at adultwebcomics.com.

    Dirty Little Drawings
by the Queer Men´s Erotic Art Workshop

New York City six years ago – a small group of 14 young restless gay artists joined forces. Frustrated that the drawing courses on offer only had nude models in academic poses they decide to take matters into their own hands. Thus the QUEER MEN’S EROTIC ART WORKSHOP was born!

In the following years the group expanded to almost one hundred gay artists and their collaboration proved to be quite fruitful. Together they produced around 12,000 drawings – DIRTY LITTLE DRAWINGS, all in a 15x15cm format. The works of the majority of these unknown artists are as varied as the artists themselves – they run the gamut from realistic to expressionistic, sensual or even pornographic, in colour or in black-and-white. This book offers an abundance of new points of view.

Editors for this work include Robert W. Richards, in-demand designer and author of “Allure” published by Bruno Gmünder Publishing, Harvey Redding, designer and curator of countless exhibitions and Rob Hugh Rosen, interior decorator and recently appointed director of operations of the Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation.

This anthology is the outstanding result of this inspiring project. It is also a fascinating glimpse into New York’s gay subculture on an impressive 320 pages. It’s a very revealing book full of sexual tension and is a lovely slice of gay emancipation! This book will definitely make quite a splash!
